Rock Out With Your...

This is about anything and everything. Music, news, some political, things I or my friends see, or just about anything talked about during the course of the day. I am also very interested in the Russian culture, so expect some of that as well. I might offend some people on this site, but I don't care. Remember, "Rock Out With Your Cock Out!"

New Year's Eve 2005

Well, I am heading to the store to pick up a 12-pack of Guinness and going off to the party. Nothing too special. Just hanging out with friends, celebrating the end of one year and looking forward to the next. I will be staying out there tonight and will probably be pretty hungover tomorrow. I will be hoping to post something on Sunday.

In other news, the Northern California Region is getting hammered by rain and wind. Somewhere between 6 to 12" of rain, depending on the location. There has been some major flooding in the Sacramento area. A lot of the "problem" areas are already under water. Right now, there are a number of places in and around the Sac area that are handing out sandbags. Also, there is much talk about the reliability of the many levies in the area. The Sac area, in some places, is akin to the New Orleans area. Although, the govt response for Sac is much better, than what we saw in NO. Rio Visa, or rather Isleton, reported a 'boil' on the nearby levy. There is not a manditory leave order, but it may happen soon. Also, the town of Napa area is totally underwater, with the flooding of the Russian River. Vacaville, Ione, Madison, Folsom, Rocklin, and Roseville are all reporting flooding.

In my area, there has been no reported flooding that I am aware of, but with the poor drainage here, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some.

I hope for the best. But, there is some partying to be done. Talk to you later.

This Past Year

As I read a friend's blog last night, I got to wondering about my last year. So, as an ode to her list, I came up with my year in review, as well. Not nearly as deliniated as hers, but here goes.

Surgery - Most of the first half of the year could be summed up that way. Either I was prepping for surgery, in surgery, or doing post surgery crap. To review, I had a couple of kidney stones broken up, a stint placed in the ureter from the left kidney to the bladder, and a PPH operation. Lots of xrays and scans and testing and sifting and...To be followed up by more surgery to break up stones even further and remove some pieces of stone and to remove the stint. Best of all, after going through all of this on the left side, the doc tells me that there is now (at that time) one on the right.

Work - I left one route just before my first surgery and returned to having a new one (route). Better pay, better days off.

Vacations - Drinking lots of beer. 1. Spent the birthday week playing in the snow, with my buddies Ron and Zach. Snowmobiling, that is. Woke up on birthday morning to 16 feet of fresh powder. Just no damn fun! Drank buddy's new microbrew from he and his partner's new venture "Mill Creek Brewing Company".
2. Spent ten days in San Diego with my buddy Kent. Saw a Pad's game, saw Bad Religion at the HOB, drank way, way too much beer. Fell off a railing, hurt my head/neck, don't remember the incident.
3. Eleven days in Reno for the Air Races. Again too much drinking and carrying on.

Days off - In no particular order. Boogie boarded the South Fork of the American River, saw a Stock Car Race in Stockton, rode motocross bikes twice, saw a SF/Seattle football game, hiked in Yosemite some more, probably more that I forgot.

Started this new blog - Started this one this year. I have/had another, previous to this. But that one is an outlet for my negative emotions. Met some really cool people on here, again in no order (~Eyes, Jenius, Prufr0ck, Blondage, LL, Zombie Lama, Sass, Reagan, Annalis, & NML). Some others that I would rather forget, but can't lest they do try to kill me.

Here is to you, out there, that have read my life through this outlet. *Raised Guinness* I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year! Some of you, I hope to meet in person one day. Some of you, I will in six months.

Resolution

I decided to post this a bit early, since most of you snapper-heads that read my stuff don't post after Friday. Nor do you seem to read anything after Friday afternoon. I wish that I had a job where I could play in the blogsphere and get paid...

I don't usually make a resolution for New Year's. Maybe, it is because I know that I can decide to do something at will and don't need a special day in which to do it. Whatever.

This year, though, I am going to make one that I hope to make a positive change from. A friend of mine is a smoker. I am a chewer. We are both going to give up our nicotine fixes for this coming year. I have quit before. Mostly, because I didn't have the money to do it, then. This time, I have the money, but have lost the interest/desire. My friend is in the same boat. So we agreed to help each other out on this. Don't know what that will entail, but I am willing to give it a go.

All of the other stuff, in my life, I am happy with. So, no need to fix it.

Wish me success!

And I DO NOT want to hear comments like, "Nobody likes a quitter."

Yesterday

Since I didn't post yesterday about my day, I thought that I would do so tonight. Yesterday, I just wanted to zone out from the present to see what was coming ahead. The reason? I was terribly pissed off.

To start off, the rock station in Modesto changed format to the new Hispanic station. To become the 15th such station to service the area. This leaves no Rock/Alternative station in the area. Either Sac or the 'No would be the closest for that, well out of range for here. Thank you Clear Channel Communications for this brilliant decision. (Additional thought a bit later).

Second, the rain. As I have said before, drivers in the area suck ass. Add rain and wind and they become even more idiotic.

Third, my partner sells product to accounts that are not needed and not enough to those that do need it. He has something like two years in the business and he still doesn't get it.

Fourth, the company, in its infinite wisdom did not allow for discounts, in this off week. (Big drawn out reason). So, accounts are complaining to me about it. Like I have control over what they do on the corporate level.

Fifth, every flipping boss is on vacation. No one answers their phones and we the sales staff are fucked, if there is a problem.

That was the yesterday and weekly problems in a nutshell.

With the radio situation as it currently stands, I am now seriously considering XM or Sirius Satellite Radio. Something that can go from my work truck, to my personal truck, to my home. Do any of you have any experience with either company and what do you think of the service?

27 December 2005

Looking Forward

I am so tired of working right now. New Year's Eve is probably the #4 busiest day in the business. But, besides that, I am burnt from not having a vacation in roughly four months.

Luckily, I have two more work days this week, three days off, five days on, then a whole nine days off. I am SO looking forward to this vacation. It will be a week of great, free micro-beer, friends, and snowmobiling. Those of you in the north that can do this sport often, I so envy you.

I only get to go riding a couple of times a year. This week of vacation, especially, is set aside for solid riding. Basically, from the time that the sun come up to after it sets, its all about riding. Maybe some night riding in there, too.

Right now, I am just trying to hang on 'till then.

Work and the Storm

I am sitting here getting ready to go into work. I have ventured out into the sphere to make a few comments on those sites that have something new. From the posts that I have read, it seems that everyone had a great Christmas.

Right now, it is pouring buckets of rain as a BIG thunderstorm rolls through. So not looking forward to working in this weather. Lots of lightning, thunder, wind and rain, make for a crappy day to be outside working in it. But, what are you going to do?

***Update***

So, the day turned out better that I thought that it would. The skies cleared up fairly early. By early morning there was blue sky and and sun. Towards the afternoon, clouds started to roll back in.

The day sucked anyway. Post-Christmas clean-up, o' f'n joy! I got towards home, stopped and bought some Guinness and the evening was much better.

Appologies Abound

I write this post feeling that I owe appologies to some people. I won't say who, but they know who they are. And there is one who won't read this, but that person, too.

I have been told that I am a dog. Yes, sometimes in the way that all men are considered dogs, but more in another way. I am loyal to my friends, no matter what. Almost, loyalty to a fault. So, to that end, I will contact people that I consider friends to talk, say hi, or to wish them well via email or text.

I get the feeling that some think that I am bothering them. I really don't mean to be a bother, but, I really know of no other way to express that friendship. And let me tell you, I don't use the word friend lightly. I, like many people, know thousands of people. Yet, there are only but a small few that I would consider to be my friend. And fewer yet to be one of my best friends. Those, I can count on one hand.

Maybe, that is the real reason for the upcoming big trip. I invited those that I would choose as friends (through this disjointed reality of the blogsphere), others were invited by those potentials, who may or may not qualify. All I really know, at this point, is this, one of my best friends and a few blog friends will be there. Others are welcome, as well, but...

How did I get sidetracked?

So, those of you that I contacted this weekend that were offended or bothered by that contact, I am truly sorry. For those that were not, I hope to hear from you soon.

Christmas Weekend

Welcome back to the world of blogging! I had a great Christmas Weekend and I sincerely hope that you did as well.

Friday consisted mostly of getting my crap together and making the two hour drive to my parents home. Really nothing to speak about, except for dinner. We had our typical night before Christmas Eve dinner of shrimp. BIG SHRIMP. Surprise, surprise, I had to cook them. It is nothing, really. I enjoy shrimp (as my parents well know) and I have literally hundreds of recepies involving shrimp. But there is on simple recepie that my family enjoys, so that is the one I made. (Garlic, butter, garlic, lime juice, garlic, white wine, and did I mention GARLIC?) So, we are a family that likes garlic.

Really, Friday night was about hanging out with the family. My brother (Water Rat), his wife, his son, my parents, and me, oh, and the cat of my brother's family. My nephew is so damn cute, pain in the ass at times, but cute. You know, the terrible twos. What more can you say? Pop got to open his birthday presents and I was given an early birthday present from my brother. A dozen Mallard Decoys (6 Drake and 6 Hens) , all of the accuments that go with them, and a feeding duck butt. Anyway, Mom, Water Rat and I stayed up late just talking and drinking. Finally crashing around midnight.

On Saturday, Water Rat and I were up at 0400. We headed out to Mendota Slough to do some duck hunting. The previous present made for a much better experience. We got set up in the dark and waited for the start (half hour before sunrise). Initially, we missed some good oportunities. It looked like we were going to get skunked for the day, but Water Rat got two Ruddy Ducks and I took down a Green-Wing Teal. There were a lot of things that we could have done differently to improve our chances, but I didn't have the gear. (Something that I am going to rectify soon). There is a whole lot more to this story, but I don't want to bore you with the details. But will do so if asked :).

Saturday night, we had our normal Christmas Eve dinner. 1 lb lobster tails. Mmmm. Following dinner, we opened presents. I know that it is not Christmas Day, but that has always been the tradition of our family.

This morning, Santa hit the family hard! The nephew got a ton o'toys. I got a couple of new books (Everyone always gets at least one book), some clay pigeons, some garlic and jalapano stuffed olives, a dvd and an orange (something that Santa gives everyone as well).

Water Rat, his wife and son packed up to go to her parents house for Christmas presents with her family. I, meanwhile, packed up my new stuff to prepare to go home. I wanted to get on the road and home before the traffic got too bad. Good thing that I left early, as it started to rain on the way home. The only thing worse than weekend drivers in the rain is holiday drivers in the rain. Well, there are worse...

All in all, I had a great weekend.

As I raise my Guinness to the sky, I wish you all had the same merriment as I.

23 December 2005

Merry Christmas

I am getting ready to leave for the parents home, so I will be away from the computer for the next few days.

I hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

I will be back next week, with more posts before the turn of the year.

22 December 2005

New Blog Template

Well, Bella has designed and put up my new template. Do you have any thoughts?

Industry

I work in the sales industry. This week, my scheduled plan was at about $15000. Lots of product. When I left the building today, on my Friday, I was at $18,500. My partner will run another $4000 tomorrow + at least $1500 on Sat. So, all told about $24,000 for the week.

For those that have called me crabby this week, now you know why.

Latvian Drunk

For those of you that don't know, I love reading the news that comes out of Russia and the former Soviet Union States. There always seems to be something incredibly amusing or very interesting that you just can't find in the MSM of the US. Hence the two stories that I posted yesterday or the following story for today:

A 50-year-old man was killed on a street near his home, near the city of Riga, after he struck was by a car. The unidentified man was found to have (now get this) a blood alcohol level of 17 times (yes, seventeen times) the legal driving amount, or roughly twice the LETHAL amount.

The man was still alive when he crossed the street, but was killed by a car that struck him. Investigators say that the accident will be shown as a traffic accident, but that the blood alcohol level was going to kill him soon anyway.

Where are you going to find a story like that? Only out of one of the poorest former Soviet States.

21 December 2005

Further Evidence of an Israeli Air Strike

If you have read my previous post titled "...A Bit Scary", add this new development and things are looking worse.

Ukrainian cruise missles with a range of 3000 km and capable of carrying nuclear warheads have ended up in Iranian hands.

Isreal's Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Aharon Ze'evi, made this claim in his last appearance before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Eighteen cruise missles left Ukraine bound for Russia. Twelve of these missles were somehow shipped to Iran and six to China.

Everyone together, say "Air Strike!"

HIV+Russian Woman

A 24 year old Russian woman, from Volgograd, is under arrest tonight for her sexual escapades. In the case, the unnamed woman sought unprotected sex with 40 men.

The woman knowingly has HIV and did not tell any of her last 40 partners. Her first partner in this spree has been diagnosed with HIV, while the remaining 39 are undergoing testing.

Under Russian Law, it is a crime punishable for up to five years in prison to deliberately spread HIV. Russian experts believe that there are somewhere between 800K and 1M people infected with HIV in the country today.

Interestingly, 80 percent of the cases are among people under the age of 30.

I guess that a Russian bride is out of the picture!

Happy Shower

I now have a happy shower. I received a "Down Under Wonder Shower" from my Uncle V. It was installed and put to use almost instantly. Wait, let me back up a bit.

For nearly my entire adult life, I have had to duck significantly to take a shower. I can recall only two separate times where I didn't have to scrunch my body up to get under the shower head. In my current appartment, the shower pipe comes out of the wall at 6'. With the down turn of the pipe plus the shower head, the height is somewhere around 5'8". Not too bad if you are of average height, but I am 6'6". So that is the rub.

This shower head extends the shower head up about a foot or more. So, now I no longer have to duck to take a shower. Love it!

19 December 2005

Tiger Striped

I saw her sitting there. Her hair recently dyed. A Tiger Stripe effect, blond and brown.

"You don't remember me do you?"

"No, can't say I do."

"Come on, Rooster. Last year of college, the Chi House."

"Nope. Be more specific. Be real specific. My last year of college was a drunken haze."

"We hooked up at the end."

"Still drawing a blank. Who are you, again."

"No name, 'till you remember that night."

Great, I'll never remember this chick's name. I went to a number of parties at the Chi house. I rarely remember anything involving leaving or getting home. Let alone what happened after that. "Go on."

"We went back to my place. I had three roommates. Shared a bedroom with one..."

"I think that I remember something. Go on."

"We had sex, while my bedroom-mate slept in the bed across the room."

"Vaguely. What is your point here?"

"Well, you missed out."

"On?"

"On the first ten years of your daughter's life"

"MY WHAT!?!?!"

Up For an Early Morning Rant

I woke up early, this morning, and couldn't get back to sleep. Maybe, I am just dreading the day.

To start, it is raining outside. Not that that is a big deal, but, as I have said before, the drivers in this area (like here is worse that where you are) SUCK ASS! The trip north, to where traffic breaks off to the city of SF, is dicey, at best. Add rain, some wind...dicey becomes deadly. People drive like idiots and it seems that they don't know that it is raining, thus increasing stopping time. But I guarantee that I will get a tailgaiter between here and work, that will be looking to drive 80 + mph in the 65 zone.

Yesterday, with all of the wind, plus the rain, made for a treacherous commute. I came close to getting the work truck sideways, twice. The only time that the driving of the rig spooked me. Then we continue the same conditions today, with four times the traffic. You see the problem, I hope.

I talked to my work buddy, S, yesterday. The roommate of K. During the course of our conversation, he asked me if K has called me yet. WTF!? I don't get the phone games. Never have. If you want to talk, then pick up the phone and talk. If not, then don't. Though I would love to hear from her, I don't want to press the issue. That situation is still questionable, at best, as well. (Whole other story that I will relate someday in the future).

18 December 2005

Far More Mello Weekend

I stayed at home this weekend. Started a book, finished that, started a new book. I finally sat down and figured out a software problem that I was having, now that is taken care of. Talked on the phone with friends, but didn't here from K, her loss (but that is a whole other story). Slept in, which I never get to do. Cleaned (or partially cleaned) house that I neglected to do last weekend. Basically, a whole lot of nothing.

I am heading back to work now.

I hope that you all had a great weekend.

17 December 2005

Any Ideas?

I am looking for some help from you guys that read this.

Last night, as I was talking to LL, I tried to get Sitemeter up and running on my blog. I have tried going through all of the steps that they suggest, but everytime I try to access the Manager Tab, I get kicked back to the login screen. LL sent me the HTML code that she had and I substituted her info with mine, so at least, I have the thing monitoring now. I just can't get the thing to work for me as it should.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

***Update*** I somehow got lucky and figured it out.

And Another...

I have been looking for this disc since early October. Its release date was 4 Oct, but I haven't been able to find it. Finally, I broke down today and purchased it on Amazon. Two-day shipping, so I should have it by early next week. The group is Flyleaf.

Around here, the big song is "I Am So Sick". That is the way I feel about looking for this disc. That is the way I feel the Holiday Season. That is the way I feel about my love life.

That is the way I feel.

14 December 2005

Add Another Disc

I also picked up this disc today. It is the new disc from H.I.M. (His Infernal Majesty) titled "Dark Light".

Mini Album Review
Human sacrifice is given sexy new slant by these Finnish vampire lady-killers. Folks who've been wondering whatever happened to goth rock and its legions of pasty-faced followers can look to this ultra melodic, synth-laden release to get an idea of the state of that prticular nation. Fact: they still love the the night.

Not Just Another Shirt

I wanted to share pics of this shirt that I got for Christmas from Kent at Right From Left .

Front

Back

I have got to have some of the coolest friends. Love you, buddy. You will definitely see this in June as well.

The company that did this shirt is really easy to use, zazzle.com. You choose the front, back or both design that you want to do (either text or pic). Pick a style of shirt and color. That is it! In three to five days, a spanking new shirt that you designed shows up to your place or a friend's. Check 'em out.

Ch, Changes

Changes are soon coming to Rock Out. I have grown tired of my template and I will be changing it here sometime soon.

13 December 2005

Is It Still Shorts Season?

Every day, I get a comment from someone about me still wearing shorts to work. There are only a few of us that are still swearing shorts. The thing is, though, it may be cold outside, but it is HOT inside the accounts. Pants are still way too warm inside most places.

My metabloism is still far too fast for my years, or so I am told. I, therefore, do not get cold, as long as I am moving. But, once stopped or relaxing in the cold, then I do need to wear a longer layer.

Now, I know that the temps that we have in our area do not compare to those that my friends here experience during the winter. But, I lived in the snow and the high altitude, still I wore shorts about 95% of the time.

The old addage is true. If you keep your head, hands, and feet warm, then the rest of the body stays warm. Well that and a high metabolism.

What The?

I got a call from K last night. Although nothing will probably come from it, it was good to talk to her again. Just hearing her talk about nothing makes me smile.

I have thought about her, a lot. But there are just things blocking the path, as it were. No, I am not going to go into detail. There are just things that need to be worked on first. And I will leave it at that.

Two New Cds for the Collection, 12 Dec

The first disc is Fall Out Boy, "From Under The Cork Tree" and the other disc is from Korn "See You On The Other Side".

Last Night's Party

Last night, I concluded my weekend by attending another party. This one was a bit smaller, only about twelve people or so. Mainly just a small group of friends getting together, barbecuing, drinking, and talking shit. All rednecks. All my friends. The best thing being that no drama was to be expected at this gathering.

The party started at 1400, but I couldn't get my, still then, hungover ass there in time. I rolled in at about 1600, started cookin' my steak, eating supplied crawdads, and drinking crap domestic light beer. On the first of many runs by someone to the nearest store, I supplied some money to get a more suitable beer to the gathering. That's right, more Guinness. Those first four crap beers were killing me, but eventually G made the appearance and things really got rockin'.

I got to talk to some people that I don't get to see very often. Including K, who is a co-worker's roommate and a real hottie. If I had a good pic of her, I would post it. But the one I have doesn't do her justice, so too bad for you! She and I sat back, talked a lot of shit, and basically had a great time.

Before I knew it, it was 0030. So, after saying my goodbyes to those left, I drove my ass the 20 miles home. Arriving here at 0100 and finally crashing out at 0130. Only to be up a 0345 to go to work.

Surprisingly, I am not tired. Even now. But, I will probably crash out early, anyway.

I hope that you all had a great weekend, too!

New Shirt

I received this shirt from the Blog Santa(s). Many thanks go to ~Eyes and Prufr0ck for getting this shirt for me.

This kind of completes the circle, of many circles, to this blog. I originally got the name for this blog by seeing a shirt with this phrase on it. That one wasn't nearly so...artistic. Kent says that he says that he saw this shirt and told me about it on the phone. He is probably right, but my memory is bit fucked up!

I am wearing the shirt in this pic, but I couldn't hold the camera steady enough to get my head in the shot and still be able to read the shirt. Sorry ~Eyes, I did try though.

You will definitely see this shirt again in June.

Party Again

I am off to another party. I may have to stay somewhat sober tonight. First, I have to work tomorrow and second, because I have had too much the last two nights.

I am in training, after all. The big trip is coming up soon. And I am sure that will be night after night of drinking and partying.

Have a great weekend!

Sumation of Things For Me Or Just a Song I Like

"Tonz of Fun", by Presence

How shallow can a man be
I borrowed this story from a friend
Now an enemy
Cause no friend of mine
Would even cross that line
And disrespect a lady of any kind.

Stranger in my bed,
Can't recall last night.
That's why I'm sleeping with
Carney Wilson's head.
Oh God got to wash my nuts,
I've done it once again.

Go, go get dressed
Get out of my bed
Now find your way home.

Lucky to have survived
She was more that twice my size.
Big is beautiful,
But I'm just a small guy.
And I could break under the weight of her thighs.
Maybe I should quit my drinking
What was I thinking?
Oh God, I've done it once again!

I had the beer goggles strapped on,
Passed out face down naked on the lawn.
Awakened by the vibration
Of the Earth shaking.
The type of girl that literally
brings home the bacon.
In my state of mind,
I was hers for the taking.
It seems she was interested in some love making.
"Do you know Jay Slim,
I heard he was hung."
It was then that I knew
That were in for some Wang Chung.

She grabbed my car keys,
My ID,
We dipped in between
Sips of Schlitz
She kept licking her lips.
I couldn't tell
If that meant she wanted my dick
Or to drive-thru KFC
For another drumstick.

I feel so ashamed
No one to blame but myself.
I've done it once again.

How shallow can a man be?
He must be too blind to see
That he's bleeding insecurities
And she cries...

Home From Partying

I am home from partying with the company. How I made it home in my condition and even able to write this, amazes me. I probably shouldn't have thrown down the Visa when I walked in tonight. I think I was still a bit drunk from last night. I got drunk way too early tonight and had to close the tab before I wanted to.

I was waiting to see my boss get up on the table and start dancing, but she wasn't drunk enough. Too bad, I had a pocket full of ones.

I did win four skybox seats to an A's game for the 2006 season. Not really a fan of the A's, but live ball is live ball.

Have a good night, I will post in the morning.

A Bit of a Hangover

I woke to a bit of a hangover. There were seven empty bottles of Guinness left out from last night. (The six that I bought last night + one from the night before.)

Today, I have nothing big planned, but to do house work.

Somebody drop me an email or call me, dammit!

08 December 2005

Dreading and Looking Forward to the Weekend

As some of you may know, I have Fridays and Saturdays off as my weekend. Tonight is all about relaxing , drinking some well deserved Guinness (still #3), and playing on the computer.

On Friday, I have to attend the company "Holiday Party". What a load of crap! We can't even call it a Christmas Party in CA. Might offend someone. I hate PC bullshit. Anyway, I am going stag even though I have tickets for two. Can any female show up to go with me? Probably not, just thought that I would ask.

On Saturday, I have another party to go to. For that, I will have to break out the full western ensemble. The party is in "The Cowboy Capital of California". Don't laugh, I can be and have been a cowboy for a long time. I just don't tend to dress that way all of the time. LL, maybe you will get a pic of me in my hat, maybe not. Depends how drunk I get. This is a party with some friends from here that live east of me. That should be a lot of fun!

Anyway, I will be around during the day. Either nursing a hangover or doing the domestics, or both.

Happy Weekend to ya!

Second Six-Pack

I am marking the end of this long, six-day workweek with another six of my fave beer. Currently on #2, while reading, commenting, and writing in the 'sphere.

Excuse me, now #3.

Winter Has Arrived In The Central Valley

It is officially the winter season here, now. Yesterday we had rain up past my bedtime. When I woke up in the morning to go to work, there was dense fog outside.

Those of you that have never been to the Central Valley of California in the winter, have no concept of the phrase "tule fog". The visibility in this fog is usually less than an 1/8 of a mile, about 600 feet. But it could be as low as 10 feet.

This picture really doesn't do the term justice.

Today, the visiblity when I left for work was about 50 feet. Slowly, throughout the day, the visibility rose to 'just fog' levels (about 1/4 mile) by 1130. Around noon, the sun was out in areas of the valley for a short time, before the temps caused the fog to reform after 1300. In some areas, today, the sun never came out at all.

This is winter in the Central Valley. And some of you thought that we had sun and good weather all year long! HA!

Doin' The Guinness Dance

After my horrendous day yesterday, I had some extra work to do today. After completing my day, I had to go back to all of yesterday's accounts to write new orders.

My last stop for the day left me near a local grocery store. That led me to get a six pack of Guinness. I am halfway through #3, right now. Oh yeah, the six will probably be gone tonight.

Cheers! to you you my friends.

***Update***:( I only made five.

Sometimes, I Just Strongly Dislike...

Pardon me while I rant, here.

I sometimes Strongly Dislike my job. Today, I started at 0430. Everything was going well, until I closed out my computer for the end of the day. That is when things went to shit. My handheld crashed. I call the help desk and wait for 20 minutes to talk to a person. He directs me to a fix, hangs up, and the piece of shit crashes again. I call back the help desk, wait another 20 minutes, only to have the guy tell me that the crash was terminal.

My boss goes apeshit. She calls the help desk, wait another 20 minutes, tries something else, and the whole memory of the day is gone. Whoosh! Just like that all sales and orders are non-existant. Reboot, download orders, and pray. Things returned to normal, but I have more work tomorrow. So, I leave the office at 1800.

The drive home sucked ass. Every fucking person on the freeway drove at least 10 miles under the speed limit. I dispise rush hour drivers. They are all fucking idiots.

To top it off, I got two trolls that emailed me with more hatemail. I may just go to bed early to end this lousy day.

I hope that things are better where you live.

***Update***
Due to comments from my father, I changed the word 'hate' to some other word. As he said it, "Hate is not a word to use lightly."

What The F**k Was That?

Did anybody know that Blogger was going to be down, again? I really hate it when there is no communication. Just tell me, so that I know.

Speaking of:

While writing the post on Marilyn, I watched and listened to this video. After thinking about it over night, I decided to link it. This is the video for (s)AINT.

Most media companies refused to play it because of its graphic nature. And it is graphic. Be forewarned before you watch it. You will need the most recent update of Quicktime to see it.

Enjoy the madness.

***Final Thought***
This is a visually stunning vid. MM has something in this vid for a lot of people. Or, more likely, at least one thing that will offend most everyone that sees it. The direction of this vid was fantastic, as was set and post production. Even if you don't like the guy or band. I would highly recommend that you watch it.

Where Have You Gone Marilyn?

Alright, this is not something that I would usually delve into. I am not a big fan of celebrity crowd. But this story caught my eye.

Brian Warner, aka Marilyn Manson, reportedly married his long-time girlfriend, Heather Sweet (aka Dita Von Teese). The couple who have been dating for the past four years were married in Castle Gurteen in Ireland.

My point in bringing this up, is that, "Will Marilyn Manson's music change with the marriage?" As a long time fan of the band and Manson's views, in general, I am left with that question.

Only time and the next album will tell.

Does Anyone Find This a Bit Scary?

Iran and Russia have agreed to terms regarding Iran's purchase of Russian tactical surface-to-air missiles.

In the deal Iran will receive 29 TOR-M1 systems designed to take down aircraft and low-flying guided missiles. This purchase is the biggest deal of Russian defensive hardware in about five years.

To recap, Russia is helping Iran build a nuclear facility for use as a "power plant". Israeli forces have claimed that they will order an air strike if the facility goes online. Iran purchases missile system designed to take out aircraft.

Somehow, I think that the Iranians are going to be producing more than power at the plant.

Back to Work

Here I am on my "God given" day off, getting up early to go into work. I hate having to cover someone else's extra day off. But since he covered mine, I can't really gripe too much.

Thank you, to those of you (here in the sphere) that gave me their well wishes. My migraine was gone by Thursday night/Friday morning. With Friday being just a mere headache as well as this morning.

I hope that you all have a great weekend. Party it up for those of us that have to work.

Kinda Wierd...

It seems that a pack of black squirrels has attacked and killed a stray dog in the town of Lazo on the Pacific Coast of Russia.

The dog was barking at the local squirrels as they were up in the branches, when a pack of the animals dropped out of the trees. The squirrels aparently attacked and killed the "large" dog, due to the scarcity of pine cones this year in the forests of the region. Witnesses said that the rodents ran off with pieces of the dog after being scared off by three local men.

Um, guys, I have a lovely .223 that just loves taking shots at squirrels. Let me know if I can be of help.

Sickness, Day 3

Thank you all for your emails and comments. Today has been the third day of the migaine and the absolutely worst day of the whole ordeal. I have had to wear sunglasses in all of my accounts today, as the lights were just too damn bright (and thus made my head feel that much worse).

I am heading for bed after I post this. Just a couple of hours where it is dark and quiet should work out fine.

The posted pic is an acrylic painting titled "Pain and No Pain", by James W. Johnson.
